Very Nintendo-centric but I can see a few of these happening, one glaring emission I would say is GTAV. Every kid played those games too young and I don't see that changing anytime soon; I don't even like the series but San Andreas similarly is one I will always associate with the gaming zeitgeist of my childhood.

Gotta agree on this. With the sales numbers and player numbers it STILL puts up, I think GTAV has to be on this list.

Overall though, really great list and valid reasons for reach.

I wanted to stay away from mature games but you’re right, I’m sure kids are finding ways to play GTA V

As a responsible parent, I can see why there are so many Nintendo games on this list, simply because PlayStation and Xbox have so little to offer for younger players, they are just not their target audience - kids don't earn income so can't really afford that level of gaming that these giants want you to spend on.

Nice list. I struggle with Fortnight and Roblox - they aren’t my thing. But kids today, they love ‘em and likely will remember them fondly as adults.

Pains me to see Roblox and Fortnite on here, but you're right, assuming they ever die off, they will absolutely be part of Gen Alpha nostalgia.

Great list!

This is an interesting list I can mostly agree on. As a parent in their early 40's, I can also see that Fortnite and Roblox are big despite me not understanding them at all.

My son has played Fortnite, Roblox and Minecraft (among others) and I have wondered how he will feel nostalgic for them later in life. For us, we could play a retro game for our past pretty much as it was, but these games are live and constantly changing. He could never go back to how he remembers them. Will they even exist in 10 years time? It makes you wonder what retro gaming in the future will look like.
