THANK YOU. I'm glad to see a positive post about Game Pass.

Personally, I appreciate how easy it is to try new things without the commitment of a $60+ purchase. I tried Crash Bandicoot for the first time thanks to game pass and quickly discovered it wasn't for me. Then jumped to Dungeons of Hinterberg and it became one of my favorites games of 2024.

I'm so glad you mentioned Blockbuster. That was the main way I played games for several years growing up. And you're right that it is the best frame of reference for gaming subscriptions.

Great take with so many valid points. Pointing the finger solely at GamePass doesn't stack up.

Nice work!

Some interesting points there, about live service gamers and the PlayStation equivalent service never getting mentioned in this conversation.

I kind of disagree, third party developers like some had struggled with this because people already played the games and moved on. Microsoft is also using this as a distraction to fix their major issue in the gaming department.

People wouldn't have ever seen or played those games in the first place. They ain't paying full price for your pixel witch farming sim either way, they'd just put the money towards either COD or F2P.

You're also talking cherry picking here, aren't you doing that to throw obvious examples? The issue is a lot more complex and people need to really read into it
